Cookie Cruncher - A helpful freeware Internet cookie tool. The latest version works with AOL, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Netscape Navigator. It gives you the power to select which cookies to keep or delete at boot-up. You can also view the content of the cookies and edit Explorer and AOL cookies.
Cryptext - A Windows 95/NT shell extension that provides strong file encryption. It uses a combination of SHA and RC4 to encrypt files using a 160-bit key. Once installed, you can encrypt and decrypt from Windows Explorer by simply right-clicking on any file and entering a password. (Direct download)
Crypto Kong - This free program allows you to easily encrypt your communications. It's simpler and easier to use than any competing digital signature and encryption product, because there is no need for certificate management. With Kong, you don't need to worry about public key certificates and you don't have to create and publish your public key certificate, or obtain other people's certificates so that you can communicate with them privately, unlike other digital signature and encryption programs.
CryptosLiTe - An outstanding piece of software by a sixteen year old programmer. CryptosLiTe is an encryption application featuring an easy to use interface. Designed with new computer users in mind, it is not a complicated program. There is no need to select decryption or encryption modes or types as CryptosLiTe does everything automatically.
Dave's Password Generator - Creates random passwords for the user based on the desired length of the password and whether or not it should be alphanumeric. Can generate passwords from 5 to 20 characters. The randomizer engine works by generating 36 numbers for each of 20 possible.
Encrypt - (49 kilobytes) With Encrypt you can scramble text files so no one can read them with the password (e.g. send them as the attachment of an e-mail message). Requires Visual Basic 5 runtimes, which you can get here.
Eudora Lite with PGP - If you need privacy when sending your e-mail, here's a good free solution: Eudora Light (an excellent freeware e-mail client) is now bundled with "Pretty Good Privacy for Personal Privacy," the strongest encryption program commercially available for individual users. Because of the current U.S. export restrictions on encryption software, you must verify that you are a citizen of (and currently residing in) the US or Canada before you can download the software. FileCode - FileCode is a freeware file encryption/decryption utility. Using data created by a password it will shift the bytes in any file in a way that can only be re-aligned by using the correct password again.
JBoot - This handy free utility will secure your PC's contents against unwanted prying eyes while you're away. Think of it as a MasterLock for your computer. It's only 52 kilobytes in size. (Download)
Kill Docs - Are you worried about prying eyes taking a peek at the contents of your "Documents Menu"? This freeware utility sits in your Windows system tray (by the clock) and clears your Documents Menu when double clicked, or at preset timed intervals.(Download)
Norton Secret Stuff - An excellent free utility for protecting the privacy of files you send over the Net. Norton Secret Stuff secures the privacy of the files you send through e-mail. It allows you to create self-decrypting executables that you can send to anyone without them needing a copy of Secret Stuff to decrypt the file. All you need to do is send the file and tell the intended recipient the password. When they run the executable theyll be prompted for the password and the file will decrypt itself.
NukeNabber - NukeNabber listens to TCP and UDP ports, giving you the information you need to trace an attacker. Up to 50 ports can be assigned to listen for TCP and UDP based attacks as well as listening for ICMP dest_unreach (or click-based) attacks. NukeNabber also includes a method for finding an attacker's nickname on IRC.

ScramDisk - An on-the-fly (ie: "as you work") disk crypto system, similar to BestCrypt or PGPDisk. But ScramDisk is free. It uses industry standard encryption, and the source-code of ScramDisk is available for inspection.
Sure Delete - Overwrites a file twice, then wipes it off the hard drive with almost no chance of recovery. Just select a file and click delete.
